Pakistani hackers planning attacks on Indian networks
Anti-India elements in Pakistan are planning to attack Indian computer networks, intelligence agencies have warned.
Pakistani hackers are trying out a dry run by hacking popular websites registered there, home ministry sources said on Tuesday.
"Every time the relations between the two countries dampen, Pakistanis start attacking Indian computer networks and this has increased after the Mumbai terror attacks [Images]," a home ministry source said.
Pakistani hackers have created websites such as the www.songs.pk, which are infested with software to hack data from the targeted computers, it said.
"The website www.songs.pk has over 12 lakh Indian users who are downloading stuff from these websites daily," said a cyber expert in the ministry.
With these websites being highly popular, it will take only a few minutes for the hackers to take command of over 12 lakh computers in few minutes and the number of such computers can multiply in every minute, sources said.
"Instead of the existing less harmful virus, new ones such as Botnet and Zoombie can be easily released into the Indian computers, which later on replicate and make the entire server vulnerable," the expert said.
"Nowadays new virus and worms are detected while downloading songs from these websites, which could be just a dry run to manage a bigger attack," he said.
Indian government's websites have proved to be vulnerable in the past.
"Most of the time, these cases are not reported as the server is based in Pakistan and we cannot do anything in this regard," the expert said.
The anti-virus software, too, cannot work in such situation as the virus used in such cyber wars are usually new and the anti-virus software cannot identify and detect it, he said.
"If anti-virus software cannot identify the signature of the virus coming through Internet, it will not detect it and as a result the virus will be downloaded in the computer in spite of such software available in the network," the expert added.

Let's Make A Difference in Indian Economy
U CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW SIMPLE STEPS. Please spare a couple of minutes here........ for the sake of India ... our country..I got this article from one of my friend, but it's true, I can see this from day to day life,Small example,
Before 5 months 1 CAN $ = IND Rs 32
After 5 months. Now it is 1 CAN $ = IND Rs 37
Do you think Canadian Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.
Our Economy is in u'r hands INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN countries is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation. More than 30000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages... etc which are grown, produced and consumed here . A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce is sold for NINE rupees, and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.."COCA COLA "and" SPRITE" belong to the same multinational company, "COCA COLA"? Coke advertisements says ' JO CHAHO HOJAYE, COCACOLA ENJOY'(Whatever the hell, let it happen, you drink coke) What can you do?
You can consider some of the better alternatives to aerated drinks. You can drink LEMON JUICE, FRESH FRUIT JUICES, CHILLED LASSI (SWEET OR SOUR), BUTTER MILK, COCONUT WATER, JALJEERA, ENERJEE, MASALA MILK........ ..Everyone deserves a healthy drink, including you!Over and above all this, economic sanctions have been imposed on us. We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only for next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future. What you can do about it?1. Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES. 2. ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.Each individual should become a leader for this awareness. This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product. THE CURRENT TREND IS VERY THREATENING.MULTINATIONALS CALL IT GLOBALISATION OF INDIAN ECONOMY. FOR INDIANS LIKE YOU AND ME IT IS RECOLONISATION OF INDIA ... THE COLONIST'S LEFT INDIA THEN. Revelation of Swiss bank accounts
INDIA :: $1,456 BILLION
RUSSIA :: $470 BILLION
U.K. :: $390 BILLION
UKRAINE :: $100 BILLION
CHINA :: $96 BILLION
Now do the math's - India with $1,456 billion or $1.4 trillion has more money in Swiss banks than rest of the world combined. Public loot since 1947: Can we bring back our money? It is one of the biggest loots witnessed by mankind -- the loot of the Aam Aadmi (common man) since 1947, by his brethren occupying public office. It has been orchestrated by politicians, bureaucrats and some businessmen. The list is almost all-encompassing. No wonder, everyone in India loots with impunity and without any fear. What is even more depressing in that this ill-gotten wealth of ours has been stashed away abroad into secret bank accounts located in some of the world's best known tax havens. And to that extent the Indian economy has been stripped of its wealth. Ordinary Indians may not be exactly aware of how such secret accounts operate and what are the rules and regulations that go on to govern such tax havens. However, one may well be aware of 'Swiss bank accounts,' the shorthand for murky dealings, secrecy and of course pilferage from developing countries into rich developed ones. In fact, some finance experts and economists believe tax havens to be a conspiracy of the western world against the poor countries. By allowing the proliferation of tax havens in the twentieth century, the western world explicitly encourages the movement of scarce capital from the developing countries to the rich. In March 2005, the Tax Justice Network (TJN) published a research finding demonstrating that $11.5 trillion of personal wealth was held offshore by rich individuals across the globe. The findings estimated that a large proportion of this wealth was managed from some 70 tax havens. Further, augmenting these studies of TJN, Raymond Baker -- in his widely celebrated book titled 'Capitalism's Achilles Heel: Dirty Money and How to Renew the Free Market System' -- estimates that at least $5 trillion have been shifted out of poorer countries to the West since the mid-1970. It is further estimated by experts that one per cent of the world's population holds more than 57 per cent of total global wealth, routing it invariably through these tax havens. How much of this is from India is anybody's guess. What is to be noted here is that most of the wealth of Indians parked in these tax havens is illegitimate money acquired through corrupt means. Naturally, the secrecy associated with the bank accounts in such places is central to the issue, not their low tax rates as the term 'tax havens' suggests. Remember Bofors and how India could not trace the ultimate beneficiary of those transactions because of the secrecy associated with these bank accounts?

Why Blame Pakistan?
Don't blame Pakistan.Make no mistake, our politician have fooled us, all the time by deflecting our attention to Pakistan.RAW,NAVY,IB,COAST GAURD,COPS,ATS etc etc, could not stop 10 kids from entering Mumbai, by boats, inspite of the tip offs.CM took 90 minutes to understand the sitiuation, Dy CM feels that since 5000 were planned to be killed we escaped by only losing 200, so it is a small incident.Three fine ATS Officers , with just pistols were sitting ducks.Only NSG knows to handle these situations, these skilled brave men are wasted in protecting these corrupt political eunuches. A lot needs to be done, BUT if we do not do anything NOW, tommorow more kids from Male, Nepal, Bnagaldesh, Bhutan will walk in to our cities and plant bombs in our hearts.All head of RAW,IB,NAVY,COAST GAURDS,POLICE,HOME MINISTERS(do not let them escape by resigning) should be tried for treason and given death penalty.PLEASE PASS THIS AROUND TO ATLEAST TEN COUNTRYMEN, DO YOUR COUNTRY A FAVOUR.WHY BLAME PAKISTAN.?
Indian PM turns FM
Prime Minister directly involved himself in tackling the impact of the global credit crisis on the Indian economy.
Amidst pressure on the exchange rate and crash in the stock market in the wake of the developments in Wall Street, Singh had appointed a committee under his charge to find a way out of the economic challenges.
"At a recent summit, the Prime Minister had listed several initiatives under consideration of the government. These include fiscal measures like expenditure on infrastructure and monetary steps such as interest rates. All these relate to the Finance Ministry, which has come under his charge directly," Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Secretary General Amit Mitra said.
Mitra said Singh is the only one in the government who has served as Finance Minister, RBI Governor and Chief Economic Adviser.
Singh was also Secretary (Economic Affairs) and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission.
Assocham Secretary General D S Rawat said the "industrial confidence would get a boost" with the Prime Minister retaining the charge of the Finance Ministry.
Singh had gone to Washington to attend the G-20 meeting called by US President George W Bush, where he sought increased role of the developing countries in the new financial architecture after the global downturn.
Bajaj Auto Chairman Rahul Bajaj said he was not worried over the Prime Minister getting burden on account of the extra charge of the Finance Ministry. "We don't have anybody in India who can be the Finance Minister, other than the Prime Minister."
Godrej Group Chairman and Managing Director Adi Godrej said there are right kind of bureaucrats who can assist the Prime Minister, who need not feel the extra burden.
On his expectations from the Prime Minister holding extra portfolio of finance, Godrej said "credit should be liberalised."
He said tax incentives should be given to industry like real estate, construction and automobile, which are been affected by the demand slowdown.

Adsense & Asia
This story had not gone well with Google. The amount adsense pays to publishers is very much associated with how much advertisers are bidding for those terms.if advertisers don't care much for asian traffic and aren't trying to sell to them, then they will spend considerably less on advertising to them.and yes, for the most part, advertisers are more interested in traffic from english-speaking countries than asian countries.
Some say it depends on interior locations too. It also depends where in Asia the clicks are coming from. In China you would be lucky to get over 5 cents. There is a lot of click fraud in some Asian countries and this also has an impact.The other thing is many Asian countries are not accustomed to buying things on their credit card or signing up to stuff, so the conversion rates can be quite low.
Hope the situation oozes off, with Adsense Center Opeing in China.
According to Zhou Wenbiao, director for online sales and operations of Google (GOOG) Asia-Pacific, Google AdSense will launch an e-payment service for its Chinese publishers before the end of 2008.
Zhou refuses to reveal which company will become Google's partner to jointly offer the e-payment service in China and only says that the company will cooperate with the third-parties and banks to promote an e-payment service which is suitable for the Chinese local market.
Google AdSense mailed its payments to its Chinese publishers by check when it first entered the Chinese market three years ago and since 2007, it has been cooperating with Western Union and shortened the payment cycle from 60 days to seven days. If the e-payment method is launched, the period will be further shortened.
As an advertisement serving program run by Google, AdSense allows website owners to enroll in this program to enable text, image and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis.
